Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ontimeo, including our website, quiz-generation tools, and digital book store (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Ontimeo.

Ontimeo lets teachers and students generate quizzes from study material using AI, take and share quizzes, track performance over time, and purchase digital books. Teachers and students each have a free plan with limited quiz generation, and paid plans that unlock additional features.

• You must provide accurate information and verify your email address (Gmail addresses only, at present) to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Accounts are role-specific (teacher, student, or administrator) and features are gated accordingly — for example, digital book purchases are available to student accounts.

Free accounts include a limited, permanent quota of AI-generated quizzes (per the limits shown on our Pricing page). Paid plans remove that limit and unlock additional features such as PDF export. Prices are shown in USD with a local-currency estimate; the amount actually charged is processed in AED via our payment provider. Coupon codes, where valid, are applied automatically at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

All payments are processed by our third-party payment processor and merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Digital book purchases are one-time, non-subscription charges that grant permanent access to that book on your account. Because digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are final except where required otherwise by applicable law — contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

Purchasing a digital book grants you a personal, non-transferable license to view that book within your Ontimeo account. You may not redistribute, resell, or share the underlying file. We verify purchase ownership on our servers before granting access to a book's full content — previewing a book before purchase is limited to its first page.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate, upload, or share unlawful, hateful, or infringing content.
• Attempt to bypass quiz-generation limits, payment requirements, or book-preview protections.
• Share your account credentials or a purchased book's file with people outside your account.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including attempting unauthorized access to other users' data.

Ontimeo and its branding, design, and underlying software are owned by us. Study material you upload remains yours; by uploading it, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to generate your quiz. Books sold through Ontimeo remain the intellectual property of their respective authors/rights holders — you are purchasing a license to read them, not ownership of the content.

Quiz questions, answers, and explanations are generated by AI based on the material you provide. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content can occasionally contain errors. Teachers should review generated quizzes before sharing them with students, and users should not treat generated explanations as a substitute for verified academic sources.

You may stop using Ontimeo at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including abusive use of AI generation, payment fraud, or unauthorized redistribution of purchased books. Where reasonably possible, we'll try to notify you before suspending an account.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ontimeo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Ontimeo after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
